Fine Art Paintings of Paris

A collection of famous streets and places and gardens of Paris, born out of my search for that joy of living, or joie de vivre, that is the heart of Paris, its luxury, elegance and tradition.

My process begins with a pen and ink sketch, which will become art for the home and office or gifts for those we love.

Each brush and ink sketch is a separate interpretation used to create an impression of each scene and give a personality to the painting I am about to create in watercolor. Often, more than 30 brush and ink drawings are created to capture the right French impression. A brilliant palette of watercolor pigments accentuates the movement in a sky or the shimmer of light against a building. Archival pigment inks capture the intensity of the overlay of colors and are printed on archival cotton rag paper.

I have been drawing and painting ever since I can remember, and have been recognized for excellence in art by international and national organizations and publications. My degree in art is from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where I still live and run my business. Prints of my fine art paintings of Paris are in collections in Berlin, Canada, Paris and America.
